LABSCALE 25-GALLON (6kW) UNIT
WAVETek LABSCALE 25-6 is an insulated small single wall laboratory scale unit designed to allow experiments and processing of small volume sample products. The laboratory unit can handle from a minimum of 6 gallons up to 25 gallons of product to be processed as a batch. It uses a 6 kW microwave transmitter running at 2450 MHZ and a pump for circulating the product being processed. The system can be fitted with different pump types for different products. The process tank is fitted with a microwave entry window and circulation lines and sits on load cells. Pump speed can be controlled via a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), which also allows for running the pump in reverse to add products to the tank. A 6” cleanout plate on top provides access to the tank inside as well as a Clean In-Place (CIP) attachment when needed. The WAVETek LABSCALE 25-6 can be rented for on-site trials or be used at WAVETek’s showroom to compare batch processing with client’s conventional process system.

The WAVETek LABSCALE 25-6 is skid mounted and easy to ship or move to location. The standard unit requires 480V 60-HZ power (other frequencies are available for Europe and Canada) and is designed as Plug and Heat™ system.
Use the WAVETek LABSCALE 25-6 to test how fast a certain volume of a product heats to desired temperatures using kilowatts ranging from 0 to 6 kW. The temperature sensor in the vessel provides a closed loop with the PLC to automatically adjust power input when desired temperature is reached.
The units provide an opportunity for the operator to test and observe accurate temperature control, predictable time-temperature-power relationships, and higher quality finished product. It further provides an opportunity to perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses.
