WAVetek is the foremost center of expertise for the use of wave-based processing of food and industrial products. We are a leading manufacturer of systems that use electromagnetic waves to excite product molecules and create frictional heat from the inside out. The concept has been in use for years, but it is still new to many, and the novelty tends to lead to apprehension and hesitancy. WAVEtek is passionate about teaching and demonstrating how 21st century processing should include electromagnetic heating instead of the 19th and 20th century heating methods, that use steam and other heating media.
Since every aspect of our communication media deals with education and explanation of this marvelous technology, our newsletter will focus on the electromagnetic spectrum and the benefits for the food processing industry worldwide. Benefits include safety, speed of processing, lower relative capital expenditure, and most importantly quick return on investment.

WAVEtek Training Workshop – From Magnets to Microwaves in 7 Hours. The inaugural WAVEtek workshop concluded on Tuesday October 15th covering general concepts relating to wave-based heating and concluding with a review of different microwave systems and a tour of a local microwave-based grease manufacturing plant. The workshop is designed to coach food processing executives and operations managers on the safety and economic benefits of wave-based food processing; and explain the differences between safe non-ionizing microwaves and other undesirable ionizing waves.

On the Electromagnetic spectrum, microwaves have lower frequencies than visible light! From hazard point of view, microwaves are less hazardous than sunlight or infrared!
